<dc:title>Dataset of soil organic carbon mineralization, physicochemical properties, and organic carbon fractions from agricultural land and artificial forest soils in Chongqing, China</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset contains soil organic carbon mineralization data, soil physicochemical properties, and soil organic carbon fractions from agricultural land (cropland and orchard) and artificial forest in the Donghe Watershed, Yubei District, Chongqing, China. Soil samples were incubated at 25 °C and 35 °C to determine cumulative carbon mineralization and mean mineralization rates, and were also analyzed for physicochemical properties and organic carbon fractions. The dataset is organized into four worksheets containing mineralization data at each incubation temperature, soil physicochemical properties, and soil organic carbon fractions. These data were collected to compare the temperature sensitivity of soil organic carbon mineralization between agricultural land and artificial forest and to support research on land-use effects on soil carbon dynamics.</dc:description>
