<dc:title>The data of the article "Clustering-Random Forest Screening of Excellent Cordyceps militaris Strains and Core Factors"</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset is the correlation data of the article "Clustering Random Forest Screening of Excellent Strains and Core Factors of Cordyceps Militaris", which includes raw measurement data of 23 activity indicators, correlation analysis matrix, and clustering grouping results of 120 Cordyceps Militaris strains. The fruiting body of Cordyceps militaris is rich in various bioactive components such as cordycepin, polysaccharides, and triterpenoids, which have immunomodulatory and anti-tumor effects. However, traditional strain screening methods often rely on the determination of agronomic traits or single active ingredients, with a single evaluation dimension, making it difficult to fully reflect the comprehensive utilization potential of strains. To overcome this limitation, this study systematically measured 23 indicators, including active ingredient content, antioxidant capacity, and key enzyme activity, of 120 Cordyceps militaris strains from different sources. A multidimensional phenotype dataset was constructed, and based on this, a study was conducted on the screening of excellent strains using cluster analysis and random forest. The data file is in Excel format (. xlsx) and contains three worksheets: Appendix 1 shows the Pearson correlation coefficient matrix between 23 indicators; Table 2 shows the raw data of active ingredients, antioxidants, and enzyme activity for 120 strains of bacteria; Table 3 shows the K-means clustering groups and grouping results (High/Normal) of 120 strains of bacteria. All data are sourced from laboratory measurements, and the measurement methods are detailed in the "Materials and Methods" section of the related paper. This dataset can be used as a reference for researchers engaged in the evaluation of edible and medicinal fungal germplasm resources, screening of excellent strains, and machine learning assisted breeding research. It can also serve as a secondary research material for the correlation analysis between active ingredients and antioxidant enzyme systems in Cordyceps militaris. </dc:description>
