<dc:title>Candidate giant-virus genomes recovered from global activated-sludge metagenomes, with reproducible analysis workflows and visualization scripts</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.41549</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset comprises 114 candidate giant-virus (NCLDV) metagenome-assembled genomes (GVMAGs) recovered from 470 activated-sludge metagenomes collected worldwide, together with the complete analytical workflows and reproducible scripts used for genome recovery, phylogenetic placement, functional annotation, community ecology analysis, horizontal gene transfer (HGT) inference, metatranscriptomic expression validation, and antimicrobial resistance gene (ARG) / virulence factor database (VFDB) screening. The deposit includes: (1) FASTA sequence files for all 114 candidate giant-virus genomes; (2) end-to-end shell workflow scripts covering raw-read processing, assembly, binning, quality assessment, phylogenetic classification, functional module assignment, abundance quantification, HGT inference, and ARG/VFDB screening; (3) Python scripts for each analytical step; and (4) visualization scripts for all main and supplementary figures. This resource enables full reproducibility of the computational results reported in the accompanying manuscript.</dc:description>
