<dc:title>1-km single-mode fiber and spatial pulse compressor dispersion measurement dataset</dc:title>

<dc:description>The process of dataset generation (based on modulation phase shift method) is as follows: a tunable narrow-linewidth fiber laser outputs a continuous optical signal (carrier); The RF square wave signal output by the rubidium atomic clock signal source passes through a bandpass filter and a power divider to obtain two sine signals, one as a reference signal and the other as a measurement signal. After passing through the RF amplifier, it turns into the modulation signal (envelope). The electro-optic intensity modulator is controlled by a STM32 microcontroller combined with a self-developed algorithm in the laboratory to achieve DC bias point control. The continuous wave sine modulated optical signal output is pre-amplified by a lab-built single clad fiber amplifier and then received by a high-speed photodetector for envelope extraction after passing through the optical component under test; The extracted envelope and reference signal are jointly input into a two-port vector network analyzer to ultimately measure the phase shift and delay. During the measurement, the frequencies of the RF sine signals (measurement signal and reference signal) are both 2 GHz. The wavelength scanning range of the tunable laser is 1064.110 nm -1064.910 nm, with a tuning step size of 0.050 nm. The selected measurement objects are a 1.0-km single clad single-mode fiber (1060-XP, Coherent/Nufern) and a lab-built single-grating spatial pulse compressor. The final dataset consists of the fitting residuals, the measured second-order dispersion, and the relative deviations from the design values obtained by polynomial fitting of the time delay, measured within the spectral width (0.800 nm) under test. </dc:description>
