<dc:title>Dynamic Changes and Stability Assessment of Vegetation Carbon Sink in Beijing Based on LandTrendr Time Series Analysis</dc:title>

<dc:description>Under the background of the "dual carbon" strategy, the accuracy of urban vegetation carbon sink assessment directly affects the formulation of regional emission reduction paths. The traditional evaluation method based on static carbon storage is difficult to characterize the dynamic changes of vegetation carbon sinks during disturbance and restoration processes, and there is a risk of overestimating carbon emission reduction capacity. This article takes Beijing as the research area, and based on the GEE platform and Landsat long-term remote sensing data from 2001 to 2023, uses the LandTrendr time series algorithm to identify vegetation disturbance and restoration processes, and constructs a three-dimensional dynamic evaluation system for carbon sink disturbance intensity, restoration efficiency, and stability. The results showed that the vegetation carbon sink in Beijing exhibited significant periodic changes, and the recovery trend significantly increased after 2013, which is highly consistent with the implementation of the million acre afforestation project; The proportion of pixels with global stability is 84.16%. Comparative analysis shows that static carbon storage methods are difficult to reflect short-term fluctuations and pose a risk of overestimating emission reduction contributions. Dynamic assessment methods can truly depict the process of carbon sink changes and provide support for optimizing urban carbon neutrality pathways. </dc:description>
