<dc:title>Low Threshold Single-Mode Lasing from CsPbBr3 Nanorods</dc:title>

<dc:description>Metal halide perovskite nanocrystals have received considerable attention as promising gain materials due to high photoluminescence quantum yield, narrow emission linewidths, and tunable bandgaps. However, constrained by the synthesis strategy and intrinsic fast nucleation and growth kinetics, most of reports focused on lasing from perovskite nanocubes. One-dimensional nanorods (NRs) with large photon absorption cross-section and high optical gain are hard to synthesize and remains largely unexplored. Herein, we realized the controlled synthesis of high-quality CsPbBr3 NRs through a modified B-site cation exchange from Zn(II) to Pb(II). These NRs exhibit a long carrier lifetime of 96 ns, gain coefficient of 155 cm-1, and low threshold amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) of 2.71 μJ cm-2. Due to their intrinsic shape anisotropy, ASE shows pronounced linear polarization with a degree of ~0.31. An ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer encapsulation strategy is employed for improving their photostability (under 30 μJ cm-2 illumination) and thermal (at 80 ℃) stability without degrading their optical gain performance. Further assembling CsPbBr3 NRs into a distributed feedback microcavity via a nanoimprint process, single-mode lasing with a low threshold (5.05 μJ cm-2), narrow linewidth (0.21 nm), and high quality factor (Q~ 2550) is successfully achieved. This work paves the way for the development of low threshold, stable and integrated NRs-based laser sources.</dc:description>
