<dc:title>Soil microbial carbon and nitrogen contents under dominant and widespread woody species along the soil moisture gradient</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.43719</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>Sampling sites were established along a soil moisture gradient to measure the concentrations of soil microbial carbon and nitrogen in stands of dominant and widespread woody plant species. Supporting metadata including stand vegetation characteristics, soil water content, and geographic coordinates of each plot were synchronously recorded. All soil samples were uniformly analyzed via the chloroform fumigation-extraction method, yielding complete observational datasets covering a total of 23 sampling points. The dataset explicitly reveals the regulatory effects of soil moisture gradient and tree species type on soil microbial nutrient pools, and can be applied to scientific research concerning forest soil microbial biomass and ecological stoichiometry.</dc:description>
