<dc:title>Effects of Layered Fertilization on Nitrogen Transformation Functional Gene Abundance and Bacterial Community Structure in Peanut Fertilizer Microsites</dc:title>

<dc:description>Understanding how layered fertilization regulates microbial communities and nitrogen transformation processes in fertilizer microsites is essential for optimizing nutrient management and improving sustainable peanut production. In this study, peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) cultivar ‘Qinghua 7’ was used as the experimental material. Farmer conventional fertilization (CK; compound fertilizer applied at 750 kg/hm2, N-P₂O₅-K₂O=15-15-15) was used as the control. Two layered fertilization strategies were established, including double-layer fertilization (D: band application at 10 and 25 cm depths) and triple-layer fertilization (T: band application at 10, 15, and 25 cm depths). Each fertilization pattern was combined with three fertilizer rates equivalent to 100%, 90%, and 80% of the conventional fertilizer rate (750, 675, and 600 kg/hm2), resulting in six treatments (D100, D90, D80, T100, T90, and T80). Peanut yield and kernel rate were evaluated, and fertilizer microsite soils from CK, D100, and T100 treatments were collected at the pegging stage (S1) and pod-setting stage (S2) to investigate changes in nitrogen transformation functional genes, bacterial community structure, and diversity.</dc:description>
