2026-07-23 Raw social media posts on saltwater recreational fishing from Xiaohongshu and TikTok (February 2021 – October 2024) doi:10.57760/sciencedb.43862 en This dataset contains 1,241 original posts related to saltwater recreational fishing collected from two Chinese social media platforms, Xiaohongshu and TikTok, between February 2021 and October 2024. After cleaning (removing duplicates, advertisements, and emoji-only posts), 670 valid texts were retained, including 354 male-related and 316 female-related texts. The data are stored in Excel format with post content, gender labels, and publication time.This dataset supports the research paper entitled "Study on the Impact Factors of Saltwater Recreational Fishing Participants from a Gender Perspective," which examines how gender shapes participation experiences in saltwater recreational fishing.
