  <dc:title>Pulsar timing residual data</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.44657</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The dataset aims to simulate the response process of pulsar timing array (PTA) to gravitational wave signals, and specifically includes the timing residual time series of six millisecond pulsars with certain independence in spatial distribution. In the process of data generation, we first constructed the arrival time of each pulsar based on a standard timing model (including rotation frequency and higher-order derivatives). On this basis, to study the detectability of transient gravitational wave burst events, we synchronously injected a gravitational wave burst signal with the same strain amplitude into the residual sequences of the six pulsars mentioned above. The signal exhibits a specific waveform in the time domain. By maintaining the consistency of injected amplitude in the data of 6 pulsars, a standardized testing benchmark is provided for verifying the signal.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
