<dc:title>Multimodal Guidance System Evaluation Dataset from Blind and Low-Vision Participants: Objective Performance and Subjective Workload Measures</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.44702</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains experimental data collected from 34 blind and low-vision participants evaluating a multimodal guidance system for near-field object retrieval tasks. Participants performed retrieval tasks under six different guidance modes, and both objective behavioral performance and subjective user experience measures were collected. The dataset includes three objective task performance metrics: average task completion duration (Average Duration, s), hand displacement, and number of errors, which characterize interaction efficiency, motor behavior, and task accuracy. In addition, subjective evaluations were collected using two standardized questionnaires: the System Usability Scale (SUS) for perceived usability assessment and the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) for perceived cognitive workload measurement. This dataset provides comprehensive performance and user experience measurements for investigating the effects of different multimodal guidance strategies in assistive interaction systems. It can support research in human-computer interaction, accessibility technology, virtual reality, cognitive ergonomics, and user-centered design. All data were anonymized prior to public release and contain no personally identifiable information.</dc:description>
