<dc:title>Broadband China and Urban Environmental Outcomes: An Audit of Implementation, Outcome Measures, and Digital Readiness</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.46171</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains the replication materials for the manuscript &amp;ldquo;Mobile Connectivity Is Not a Stand-Alone Indicator of Urban Air Quality in China: Evidence from an Auditable City Panel.&amp;rdquo; It supports an empirical assessment of the relationship between China&amp;rsquo;s Broadband China demonstration policy and urban environmental outcomes. The materials include a 2011&amp;ndash;2019 common-support city-year panel, a panel for the linear-interpolation sensitivity analysis, a digital-readiness estimation panel, and a mechanism-analysis panel. The variables cover policy designation and implementation, reported industrial wastewater, sulfur dioxide, smoke and dust emissions, ambient PM₂.₅ concentrations, meteorological conditions, urban economic characteristics, and digital readiness. The package also provides the scripts used to estimate the policy-outcome, digital-readiness, and mechanism models, together with the corresponding result tables, software requirements, a reproduction guide, and a source ledger. The files follow the final empirical specifications reported in the manuscript and can be used to reproduce the principal estimates, sensitivity analyses, and mechanism results.Where redistribution is restricted by the terms of the original data providers, third-party source files are not included. The source ledger records the relevant providers, analytical uses, and persistent links to support source verification and reproducibility.</dc:description>
