<dc:title>The First Chinese Normative Database for Photoreceptor Cell Metrics Derived from Adaptive Optics Fundus Imaging: A Multi-Center Clinical Study</dc:title>

  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset is derived from a prospective, cross-sectional, observational clinical study aimed at establishing the first Chinese population photoreceptor cell normal human eye database based on an adaptive optics fundus imaging system. The study included 200 healthy Han Chinese participants aged 18 to 65, divided into five age groups (18 to 25 years old, 25 to 35 years old, 35 to 45 years old, 45 to 55 years old, 55 to 65 years old). All subjects were from four clinical centers in China, and through strict screening, they met the inclusion criteria: no history of systemic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, etc.), no history of internal eye diseases and ophthalmic surgery, no family history of eye diseases (glaucoma, retinal diseases), spherical lens degree between -3.00D and+3.00D, naked or wearing glasses with far vision &amp;ge; 0.8, axial length between 21mm and 25mm, intraocular pressure &amp;le; 21mmHg.&amp;nbsp;The data collection process covers the complete ophthalmic examination process. Each subject undergoes a comprehensive evaluation during the screening period (-7 to 0 days), including demographic data (age, gender, ethnicity, height, weight), vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), visual acuity examination (naked and glasses wearing distance vision, using a standard logarithmic visual acuity chart), dominant eye examination, non-contact intraocular pressure measurement, slit lamp microscopy (eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea, anterior chamber, iris, pupil, lens), computerized optometry, optical biometry for axial length measurement (IOLMaster 500/700 or Lenstar), fundus color photography, and frequency-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT, scanning range &amp;ge; 6mm &amp;times; 6mm). On the day of the examination (Day 0), the subjects underwent an adaptive optics fundus imaging system (AOSLO, Mona IIa, Nanjing Boshi Medical Technology Co., Ltd.) examination after sufficient pupil dilation, and images of photoreceptor cells in the macular area were collected.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
