<dc:title>XDA28070103 Data Set of Straw and Organic Fertilizer Deep Mixed Ploughing Layer Thickening and Carbon Increase Technology</dc:title>

<dc:description>In the black soil protection of thick-layer black soil regions, the depth of tillage and organic material returning to the field limits the organic carbon supplement in the deep black soil layer. Meanwhile, due to the low nutrient content in deep soil layers, deep mixing of straw alone cannot provide sufficient organic carbon for the subsoil. Focusing on deep mixing and returning of straw and organic fertilizer, this project adopts supporting technologies including organic fertilizer composting, full mechanization, and elite varieties. It effectively improves the structure of heavy clay soil and rapidly increases soil nutrient content while thickening the plough layer. A 1,000-mu core demonstration area was established in Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province, to demonstrate the technology of straw and organic fertilizer deep mixing for plough layer thickening and carbon sequestration. The demonstration results showed that deep mixing and returning of straw and organic fertilizer improved soil fertility in the 0–35 cm soil layer, enhanced aeration and water conductivity of soil aggregates, and promoted soil nutrient storage capacity. The thickness of the soil plough layer increased by approximately 16.1 cm. In the 0–20 cm soil layer: Soil organic matter increased by 7.6%, alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen by 7.8%, available phosphorus by 47.7%, available potassium by 37.4%, soil bulk density decreased by 13.1%. In the 20–35 cm soil layer: Soil organic matter increased by 23.6%, alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen by 13.9%, available phosphorus by 38.6%, available potassium by 27.2%, soil bulk density decreased by 18.0%. The implementation of this technical model increased economic benefits by 28.0%.</dc:description>
