<dc:description>This dataset comprises field soil basic physicochemical properties, soil enzyme activities, and some soil microbial indicators related to grain–legume rotation and cover crop intercropping cultivation technologies. The data are mainly derived from field experiment sample collection and laboratory measurements, reflecting changes in soil basic properties and bioactivity indicators under different cropping patterns, crop treatments, and sampling periods. The dataset consists of two parts: (1) soil basic physicochemical and enzyme activity data under cover crop planting treatments, and (2) soil enzyme activity data under crop treatments in the grain–legume rotation system. The cover crop treatments include oat, barley, ryegrass, hairy vetch, sweet clover, alfalfa, sesbania, and monoculture (control). The grain–legume rotation treatments include soybean, forage rapeseed, maize, and dwarf sorghum.</dc:description>
