2026-08-31 Heavy metals research in the black soil region of Liaoning Province, China Spatial patterns, risk assessment, and sources apportionment doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.0018z en This study analyzed the spatial distribution, contamination risks, and sources of seven heavy metals in 149 soil samples from the black soil region of Liaoning Province. The results showed that overall heavy-metal contamination was relatively low, although Cd was seriously enriched. The metals were mainly derived from natural processes, industrial activities, and mining operations.
