  <dc:title>Graphene-Reinforced Polysilazane-Based Wide-Temperature Lubrication Coatings</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.tribology.00034</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>In this study, a novel composite coating system was constructed through a molecular structure modification strategy to meet the lubrication and protection needs of device surface coatings in a wide temperature range. Polysilazane (PSZ) was toughened and modified with hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) as a macromolecular toughening agent, and graphene (Gp) was introduced to construct a synergistic enhancement system, and two kinds of modified coatings, namely, P@H (PSZ/HTPB) and P@H@GP (PSZ/HTPB/GP), were successfully prepared. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) characterization confirmed that the HTPB and PSZ substrates were effectively composited through chemical bonding, and the mechanical property tests showed that the modified coatings exhibited excellent overall performance. The experimental results showed that both modified coatings were significantly better than the unmodified PSZ coating in terms of tribological performance and wear pattern. The P@H@GP coatings with optimal component ratios were finalized for systematic evaluation under wide temperature range (25~400 &amp;deg;C) and variable load conditions through performance screening at room temperature (25 &amp;deg;C). The test data showed&amp;nbsp;that the modified coating maintains a stable low friction&amp;nbsp;coefficient&amp;nbsp;over a wide temperature range from room temperature (25&amp;nbsp;&amp;deg;C) to 400 &amp;deg;C. The modified coating was also characterized by a low friction&amp;nbsp;coefficient&amp;nbsp;and a low friction&amp;nbsp;coefficient. It was noteworthy that the P@H@GP coating exhibits more excellent friction reduction properties in the middle and high temperature region (200~400 &amp;deg;C), and the successful modification of this new composite coating was expected to provide a solution for friction and anti-friction reduction of engine components at the middle and high temperature end.</dc:description>
