<dc:title>Dataset of nitrogen mineralization and enzyme activity in temperate forest dark brown soils under amino acid addition</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset is sourced from a simulated organic nitrogen input cultivation experiment on indoor amino acid addition in dark brown soil at the National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station of Maoershan Forest Ecosystem in Heilongjiang Province. The experiment adopts a completely randomized trial design, setting up three typical forest types (broad-leaved forest, mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest, coniferous forest), with four amino acid nitrogen treatments under each forest type. The nitrogen application rate is uniformly 40 mg N · kg-1 soil, including blank control CK, glycine Gly, glutamic acid Glu and histidine His. Indoor constant temperature and light avoidance cultivation experiment, with a cultivation period of 50 days. Soil samples were collected destructively at six time points of 0, 1, 7, 14, 28 and 50 days. Each treatment was repeated three times, for a total of 216 soil samples to be tested. Measure seven indicators including ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total carbon, dissolved organic carbon, soil pH, protease, and urease, and calculate three nitrogen mineralization parameters: ammonification rate, nitrification rate, and net nitrogen mineralization rate. The dataset contains raw measured data on soil physical and chemical properties, inorganic nitrogen, extracellular enzyme activity, nitrogen mineralization rate calculation results and variance analysis under different forest types and amino acid treatments, as well as correlation statistical data. It can be used for research on organic nitrogen transformation and amino acid regulation of soil nitrogen cycling mechanisms in temperate forest dark brown soil. </dc:description>
