<dc:description>The research team collected surface soil samples in Taoyuan Cave, Dayuan Forest Farm, and Lishuzhou from July 16 to 23, 2021, and conducted densification and supplementary mining from July 3 to 10, 2022. Spore sample collection and vegetation investigation are conducted simultaneously. The forest sample area is set as 20 m × 20 m, or 20 m × 25 m, or 15 m × 20 m, or 15 m × 15 m, or 10 m × 10 m, or 5 m × 20 m according to the terrain and topography. The shrub/shrubbery sample area is 10 m × 10 m, or 20 m × 10 m, or 15 m × 15 m, or 10 m × 15 m, or 5 m × 5 m. The longitude, latitude, and altitude of the sample plot are determined using a global positioning system. Fresh moss on the surface is collected according to the plum blossom 5-point method for every 50 m increase in altitude from the foothills to the mountaintop. The mixture is fully packed into self sealing bags, and each bag contains about 500 g of samples. The geographical location of each sampling point is determined using a global positioning system. And the main plant species. The sample was treated using conventional hydrofluoric acid method, with a sample size of about 3-15 g. One piece of Pinus massoniana spore (27637 ± 56 particles) was added to calculate the spore pollen concentration. Then, 10% hydrochloric acid, potassium hydroxide, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, and acetic anhydride 1:9 solution were sequentially added to remove carbonates, silicates, and organic matter from the sample. The spore pollen was enriched using a 10 µ m sieve, and finally 2-3 drops of glycerol were added for preservation. Pollen identification and statistics were conducted using plant pollen morphology books and modern pollen standard slides under the Zeiss biological microscope in Germany, with a total of 305 to 1138 pollen grains per sample. </dc:description>
