<dc:title>Dataset of the effects of enclosure on soil physicochemical properties and enzyme activities across three plant communities in the desert steppe</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.cjae.00265</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset is constructed based on field investigations and indoor physicochemical and enzyme activity measurements of three typical plant communities (Sophora alopecuroides, Artemisia scoparia, and Artemisia scoparia) in the desert grassland of Yanchi County, Ningxia. It fully records the species composition, height, coverage, density, alpha diversity index, soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and other physicochemical indicators of plant communities under enclosure and grazing management, soil enzyme activity data of four types, and multidimensional statistical analysis results. All experimental observations, testing, and statistical processes have standardized processing steps, equipped with tools and equipment information for field sampling, laboratory testing, and data analysis. There are no missing data, and experimental errors come from spatial heterogeneity of field sampling and instrument detection system errors. The overall error is controllable and compatible with mainstream scientific research software such as Excel, SPSS, R Studio, Origin, etc. for reading and analysis. The complete dataset supports the analysis of all results in the paper &amp;quot; The Effects of Enclosure on Soil Physical and Chemical Properties and Enzyme Activities of Typical Plant Communities in Desert Grasslands&amp;quot;. It can reproduce all the charts, t-tests, variance analysis, correlation analysis, redundancy analysis, and variance decomposition analysis results in the paper, and is suitable for research reuse and secondary mining related to vegetation restoration and grazing management, plant soil interaction, and grassland ecosystem function assessment in desert grasslands.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
