<dc:description>This dataset was generated from a two-factor split-plot field experiment conducted on coastal saline-alkali soil in Wudi County, Binzhou, Shandong. The experiment commenced on June 29, 2023, and harvesting was completed on October 10. Based on the application of equal amounts of potassium fertilizer, the main plots included five P rates (P0–P4: 0, 75, 112.5, 150, 187.5 kg P2O5 hm-2), and the subplots included four N rates (N0–N3: 0, 225, 270, 315 kg N hm-2). Each treatment was replicated three times, with a plot area of 48 m². The potassium fertilizer (K₂O) application rate was uniformly set at 82.5 kg·hm⁻² for all treatments. All fertilizers were applied once before sowing, using diammonium phosphate [(NH₄)₂HPO₄, containing 18% N and 48% P₂O₅], potassium sulfate (K₂SO₄, containing 55% K₂O), and urea (containing 46% N).Soil inorganic phosphorus fractions were extracted stepwise from soil samples collected at the 0~10 cm and 10~20 cm depths for each treatment during the maize silking stage (R1), using the fractionation method proposed by Jiang Baofan and Gu Yichu. Available phosphorus was extracted using 0.5 mol·L⁻¹ NaHCO₃. The absorbance of the extract was measured at 700 nm after color development with the molybdenum-antimony-ascorbic acid method, and the content was calculated accordingly. Soil total phosphorus content was determined from soil samples collected at the 0~10 cm and 10~20 cm depths during the R1 stage. Samples were pre-treated using a combined digestion method with concentrated H₂SO₄ and H₂O₂, and analyzed using an AA3 continuous flow analyzer (SEAL-AA3, Germany). Plant total phosphorus content was measured at V12 stage (V12), silking stage (R1), milk stage (R3), and maturity stage (R6). For each treatment, five plants with uniform growth were selected to collect above-ground samples. These samples were pre-treated using the combined H₂SO₄-H₂O₂ digestion method and analyzed using the AA3 continuous flow analyzer (SEAL-AA3, Germany).Yield and yield components were assessed at the R6 stage. Three areas of 9 m² (5 m × 3 rows) were randomly selected in each experimental plot to harvest all ears. Maize yield and yield components were measured（Grain yield calculated at 14% moisture content）.The data were organized using Microsoft Excel 2016 and presented in generic table files. The units of measurement for the data included in this dataset are as follows: soil inorganic phosphorus fraction content, available phosphorus content, Na⁺ content, and Cl⁻ content (mg·kg⁻¹); soil total phosphorus content (g·kg⁻¹); plant phosphorus accumulation amount (kg·hm⁻²); phosphorus fertilizer absorption efficiency, phosphate fertilizer agronomic efficiency, and partial factor productivity of phosphate fertilizer (kg·kg⁻¹); number of spikes per unit area (×10⁴ ear·hm⁻²); 1000 grain weight (g); yield (t·hm⁻²); and electrical conductivity (μs·cm⁻¹).</dc:description>
