<dc:title>Magnetic Experimental Data of Sediments from Bawang River, Northern Foothills of Qinling Mountains</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.cjxb.00016</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The data of this study are the environmental magnetic test results of sediments from the fluvial terrace profile of the Bawang River on the northern slope of the Qinling Mountains. The data generation process is as follows: sediment samples were collected from the profile at 2 cm intervals from top to bottom, yielding a total of 154 sample sets. All samples were low-temperature dried and ground, and a series of magnetic parameter tests were completed in the laboratory. The main tests included low-frequency magnetic susceptibility (&amp;chi;lf), anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM), isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM), saturated isothermal remanent magnetization (SIRM), First-order reversal curves (FORC), coercivity (Bc), and thermal magnetic curves (&amp;kappa;-T), among others. The testing equipment included the VSM3902 variable gradient magnetometer; AGICO MFK1FA Kappabridge multi-frequency susceptibility meter; pulse magnetizer; alternating field demagnetizer, etc. The data are organized in tabular form, with each row corresponding to a sample. Column headings include sample ID, sampling depth, values of various magnetic parameters, and related calculated indicators (such as S-ratio), with units in international standard units (e.g., magnetic susceptibility in 10⁻⁸ m&amp;sup3;/kg). There are no systematic missing values in the data, and individual abnormal values were removed through repeated tests. The error range is controlled within the precision of the testing instruments. Data files are organized by type and include tables of raw magnetic parameter data and thermal magnetic curve test data, which can be directly opened and used in commonly used software such as Excel and Origin.</dc:description>
