<dc:title>Mechanism of detoxification of wheat seedlings under fly ash stress by sulfate</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.cumt.00012</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This study focuses on the main crop wheat (AK-58) widely planted in the Xuzhou area. The fly ash from Huamei Power Plant was used to simulate atmospheric dust pollution in the northern suburbs of Xuzhou. Quartz sand was used as the substrate for sand cultivation of wheat, and exogenous additives of different concentrations of sodium sulfate were added to the sand substrate through drip irrigation to investigate the effects of sulfate on wheat seedlings under fly ash stress. The research content of this project mainly includes the following aspects: (1) the effects of sulfate on the biological and physiological characteristics of wheat seedlings under fly ash stress: by measuring the fresh weight, dry weight, and moisture content of the aboveground and underground parts of wheat seedlings, and measuring indicators such as root length, leaf length, and plant height, the response of high concentration sulfate to the biological characteristics of wheat seedlings under fly ash stress was explored. The sentence is:. By measuring the activities of major protective enzymes and important photosynthetic enzymes in wheat seedlings, the effects of different concentrations of sulfate on the physicochemical characteristics of wheat seedlings under fly ash stress were explored. (2) The effect of sulfates on the absorption, migration, and transformation of heavy metals in wheat: Determine the content and forms of major heavy metals in wheat leaves and roots, and analyze the transport patterns of heavy metals in wheat plants by combining the total amount of heavy metals in fly ash and the proportions of lipid soluble, water-soluble, and nitrate soluble states. (3) The effect of sulfate on the microenvironment of wheat leaf under fly ash stress: Observing the wax layer on the surface of wheat leaves, the density and status of cilia and stomata, and combining with high-throughput sequencing results of wheat leaf microorganisms, exploring the effect of different concentrations of sulfate on the species changes of wheat seedling leaf associated bacteria. (Note: CS - control group, LS - low concentration sulfate, MS - medium concentration sulfate, HS - high concentration sulfate)&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
