  <dc:title>An N-Phosphoproteomics Dataset of Human Hippocampal Neurons</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.deld.00007</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>N-phosphorylation is a post-translational modification occurring on the nitrogen atoms of histidine, lysine, and arginine residues, yet systematic characterization of the N-phosphoproteome in neurodegenerative disease models remains limited. This study presents an N-phosphorylation proteome dataset generated from human hippocampal neuronal cells (HPPNCs) transfected with the Tau-P301L mutation, an in vitro cultured cell model, a variant associated with tauopathy. N-phosphopeptides were enriched under neutral conditions using affinity peptide-functionalized magnetic beads (MB@PA) and analyzed by high-resolution LC-MS/MS. Raw data were processed using MaxQuant for label-free quantification, with contaminants and reverse hits excluded. The dataset comprises 6,064 N-phosphorylation sites mapped to 3,372 proteins, including 1,286 pHis, 2,462 pLys, and 2,316 pArg sites, of which 2,383 met high-confidence criteria with filtered using localization probability &amp;ge; 0.75, score &amp;ge; 40, and score difference &amp;ge; 5. The dataset is publicly available through ScienceDB and can be reused for N-phosphoproteome-wide studies, method development, and comparative phosphoproteomic analyses in neurodegeneration research.</dc:description>
