<dc:description>Objective To investigate the value of applying medical image alignment techniques in the post-processing of head and neck CT angiography (CTA) images. Methods The imaging data of 89 patients with poor coordination in head and neck CTA examinations in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. The same technician divided the experimental group and control group according to whether or not the image alignment technique was applied to the original images before the vascular subtraction image processing and performed the post-processing at the post-processing workstation, recorded and compared the time required for the reconstruction of subtraction of the images of the two groups, and evaluated the de-osteoporosis of the images of the two groups after subtraction, as well as the subtraction effect of the blood vessels. Results The reconstruction time of the control group was (124.90±18.91) s, and the reconstruction time of the experimental group was (110.03±10.48) s. The difference in the reconstruction processing time was statistically significant (P < 0.01). On the display of the intracranial segment of the internal carotid artery, the image quality of the experimental group was better than that of the control group, and the difference in reconstruction effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The effect of automatic debridement in the experimental group was better than that in the control group, and the difference in debridement subtraction effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01).Conclution The use of image alignment processing technology can shorten the image post-processing time, speed up the efficiency of the technicians, can improve the image quality for clinical diagnosis to provide better technical support.</dc:description>
