2026-05-22 Field Above-ground Biomass Data on the Mongolian Plateau doi:10.57760/sciencedb.ecodb.00310 en The field observations of AGB in this dataset are primarily derived from field plot surveys and literature sources. We conducted two plot surveys in Inner Mongolia and Mongolia in 2003 and 2019, respectively. Plots and sample plots were established within contiguous, homogeneously growing typical grassland communities. At each site, three to five sampling quadrats (0.5 m × 0.5 m) were uniformly distributed within 100 m × 100 m plots. All above-ground plant material was harvested, dried at 75°C until constant weight, and weighed. Additionally, we compiled data from literature, recording latitude, longitude, observed year, AGB, meteorological elements, and soil texture. This yielded a total of 971 plot data points.
