<dc:title>A dataset on the effects of elevated CO2 and temperature on nitrogen uptake by rice and nitrogen mineralization of straw mediated by rhizosphere microorganisms</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.01248</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset mainly consists of two parts:
(1) Data on the impact of CO2 and temperature increase on nitrogen absorption by rice
It includes a complete set of observational and calculated data on the evaluation and measurement of various aspects such as field tests, plant nitrogen absorption, soil nitrogen content, nitrogen absorption per unit root weight, and nitrogen fertilizer utilization efficiency of five different rice varieties developed in different eras during the maturity stage, under simulated future climate change scenarios. The data come from a controlled open-top chamber (OTC) experiment, aiming to explore the effects of increased atmospheric CO₂ concentration (700 ppm) and warming (+2&amp;deg;C) and their interaction on the yield composition, nitrogen absorption distribution (soil source vs. fertilizer source), and nitrogen fertilizer utilization efficiency of rice.
(2) Data on the impact of CO2 and temperature increase on nitrogen mineralization mediated by rhizosphere microorganisms in rice
It includes DNA extracted from the rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soils of rice, and the original sequence data and derived bioinformatics analysis results obtained from high-throughput amplicon sequencing of three functional genes closely related to the nitrogen mineralization process - urease gene (ureC), chitinase gene (chiA), and leucine aminopeptidase gene (pepA).</dc:description>
