<dc:title>A dataset on the non-traditional nitrogen-fixing activity and adaptive genomics of a new rhizobium strain from the genus Rhizobium</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset encompasses beneficial microbial resources collected and analysed between 2022 and 2023 at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Harbin), serving to advance research in microbial discovery and application. In terms of data coverage, the collection achieves multidimensional systematic integration: at the population level, it includes multiple test isolates alongside corresponding reference strains; In terms of data types, it includes not only whole-genome sequences, 16S rRNA gene sequences, and housekeeping gene sequences (atpD, recA, glnII) for each strain, but also concurrently records their fundamental physiological and biochemical characteristics (such as optimal growth temperature, salt tolerance concentration, pH adaptability) and key biostimulant functional indicators (such as nodulation promotion and nitrogenase activity). All data are stored in Excel format for ease of retrieval and analysis. By integrating high-resolution genomic information with phenotypic physiological data and functional validation data, this dataset provides a robust foundation for screening highly efficient functional strains, elucidating their growth-promoting mechanisms, and comparing genetic and phenotypic differences among various strains.</dc:description>
