<dc:title>3.4.1Evaluation Criteria and Assessment Methodologies for Functional Microorganisms in Low-Temperature Decomposition</dc:title>

<dc:description>To address the challenge of slow degradation of corn stover in low-temperature environments in the cold regions of Northeast China, a rapid plate-screening method combined with low-temperature fermentation cultivation was employed to screen fungal strains capable of growing under cold conditions. Fungal strains that simultaneously produce multiple lignocellulolytic enzymes—including laccase, cellulase, hem cellulase, and peroxidase—at low temperatures were obtained. The low-temperature decomposition efficiency of the selected high-activity strains was evaluated using corn stover as substrate. The activities of lignocellulolytic enzymes and the degradation rates of various components in corn stover were measured at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 days of treatment. Based on these findings, evaluation criteria and assessment techniques for functional microorganisms in low-temperature decomposition were established.</dc:description>
