<dc:title>XDA28100105-Paper-Agricultural water and land resources carrying capacity based on ecological footprint method</dc:title>

<dc:description>This paper takes Youyi Farm, a "black soil granary" in the Sanjiang Plain, as an example and applies the ecological footprint method to quantitatively assess the local carrying capacity of water and land resources. The results show that:① The multi-year average agricultural water ecological footprint per capita is 5.26 hm²/person, while the multi-year average ecological carrying capacity is 1.97 hm²/person, indicating an ecological deficit of water resources. The average ecological pressure index is 2.82, meaning that water resource utilization is in an unsafe state. In contrast, the per capita ecological footprint of cultivated land resources is smaller than the ecological carrying capacity, resulting in an ecological surplus of cultivated land resources. The average ecological pressure index is 0.69, indicating that cultivated land resource utilization is in a safe state.② The coupling coordination degree between the ecological footprint of agricultural water and land resources and the ecological carrying capacity of water and land resources in Youyi Farm is generally in a moderately coordinated state.③ Although the farm is rich in land resources, water resources are scarce. Thus, there is still significant room for improvement in the coordination level of the water and land resource carrying capacity in this region. The research findings are of great importance for the protection of black soil and the realization of sustainable development of agricultural water and land resources.</dc:description>
