<dc:title>A Scalable Photoelectric-Coupled Plate-Type Photocatalytic Water Splitting Reactor for Hydrogen Production</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.01372</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The scalable photoelectric-coupled plate-type reactor for photocatalytic water splitting to produce hydrogen is composed of an upper cover plate, a base plate, a carrier plate and a sealing assembly. The upper cover plate is formed by bonding a quartz glass plate with an acrylic frame, and the base plate is equipped with a liquid inlet, a central opening and a liquid outlet. The carrier plate includes a photocatalyst carrier plate, a fixed plate with cross rails and a common backing plate, which can fix different carrier plates and adjust the depth of the reaction zone. A plug or an extended plug can be connected to the central opening of the base plate, enabling the reactor to be adapted for both conventional photocatalytic water splitting and photoelectric-coupled hydrogen production. It balances light transmittance with economic efficiency, improves mass transfer efficiency, reduces reaction dead zones, and features easy expansion and integration.</dc:description>
