<dc:title>Artificial microbial consortium for simultaneous removal of dibutyl phthalate and atrazine combined pollutants at low temperatures</dc:title>
<dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.01388</dc:identifier>

<dc:description>Organic composite pollutants pose a serious threat to the global ecological environment. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and atrazine (ATZ) are typical toxic organic pollutants, and no single microorganism can simultaneously remove them from aqueous systems. In this study, the DBP-degrading bacterium Rhodococcus KD0901 and the ATZ-degrading Paecilomyces sp. were co-cultured based on metabolic division of labor, and the artificial microbial consortium KDN0901 was constructed. This consortium could efficiently degrade DBP and ATZ within 3 days at 15 ℃, and showed strong adaptability to pH 5–9 and 4–35 ℃, especially at low temperatures. Cross-feeding interactions existed between the two strains. Toxicity experiments showed that KDN0901 significantly alleviated the damage of both pollutants to soybeans and promoted plant growth. This study provides an effective method for the green bioremediation of DBP and ATZ composite pollution in cold regions.</dc:description>
