<dc:title>Black Soil Upland Conservation and Efficiency Enhancement Technology</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.01492</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>Given the issues of strong wind erosion, unreasonable straw return, thin/poor/hard plow layers, declining soil fertility, continuous cropping obstacles, and salinization in the study area, optimized tillage modes were developed on the basis of rational crop rotation to break through these barriers. With the goals of controlling soil wind erosion and enhancing soil organic matter, this study investigated: ① Conservation tillage technology for dryland with high stubble retention (establishing key techniques centered on standing stubble return, subsurface pipe water supplementation, nutrient management, and organic fertilizer application); and ② Conservation tillage technology for dryland with wide-narrow row rotation (a rotational tillage conservation system centered on wide-narrow ridges, straw mulching, soybean-corn rotation, slope-protecting vegetation, and water conservation/storage expansion). Based on the screening, optimization, and upgrading of individual core technologies, combined with plowing and no-tillage combinations, deep mixing and surface mulching of straw return techniques, and corresponding agronomic and machinery measures, integrated key conservation technologies for dryland in black soil regions were developed and demonstrated at large scale. These efforts substantially improve the wind erosion resistance, soil consolidation, and conservation efficiency of the plow layer in farmlands (aeolian sandy soils), aiming to provide technical support and reference for the conservation of China's black soil granary.</dc:description>
