<dc:title>Construction and Demonstration of Key Technologies for Black Soil Dryland Conservation</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.iga.01498</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>In response to the problems of severe wind erosion and unreasonable straw return in the study area, including the &amp;quot;thin, infertile, and compacted&amp;quot; plough layer, declining soil fertility, continuous cropping obstacles, and salinization, this study aims to break through these barriers by optimizing tillage patterns on the basis of rational crop rotation, with the goals of controlling wind erosion and enhancing soil organic matter. Specifically, the research focuses on: (1) High-stubble mulching conservation technology for dryland (constructing a key high-stubble mulching conservation technology system centered on standing stalk return, subsurface pipe water supplementation, nutrient management, and organic fertilizer application); and (2) Wide-narrow row rotational tillage conservation technology for dryland (developing a rotational tillage conservation technology system based on wide-narrow ridges, straw mulching, soybean-maize rotation, slope-protecting vegetation, and water conservation and storage enhancement). On the basis of screening, optimization, and upgrading of individual core technologies, combined tillage systems incorporating ploughing and no-tillage, as well as deep mixing and mulching straw return techniques, are integrated with corresponding agronomic and machinery measures to assemble a comprehensive key technology package for black soil dryland conservation and to demonstrate it at a large scale. This approach aims to substantially improve the wind erosion resistance, soil stabilization, conservation, and productivity enhancement capacity of the plough layer in farmlands (aeolian sandy soil), thereby providing technical support and reference for the conservation of China's Black Soil Granary.</dc:description>
