<dc:title>A Multi-Source Temperature and Heatwave Dataset in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor during 1980-2024</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset consists of two components. The first comprises daily apparent temperature data at a spatial resolution of 0.1° from 1980 to 2024, including mean, maximum, and minimum values, produced through elevation-corrected interpolation based on NOAA station observations. The second comprises seamless daily land surface temperature data at a spatial resolution of 1 km from 2003 to 2024, generated from MODIS remote-sensing data using spatiotemporal interpolation. On this basis, a combined method using absolute and relative temperature thresholds was applied to produce annual heatwave datasets at 0.1° resolution for 1980–2024 and at 1 km resolution from 2003 to 2024. The datasets contain ten attributes: heatwave frequency, mean duration, maximum duration, minimum duration, mean apparent temperature, minimum apparent temperature, maximum apparent temperature, heatwave start date, heatwave end date, and one additional heatwave-related attribute. Evaluation results show that the MAEs of the daily mean, maximum, and minimum AT datasets are 2.13, 2.36, and 2.57 K, while the RMSEs are 3.11, 3.46, and 3.58 K. The RMSE of the LST dataset is 1.88 K. Comparisons with historical high-temperature events shows that the datasets are highly accurate and reliable. They can provide fundamental data support for analyzing the spatiotemporal variation of extreme heat and assessing heatwave risks along the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor.</dc:description>
