<dc:title>Dataset of Soil N₂O Emission Fluxes and O₂ Concentrations from a Long‑term Nitrogen Fertilizer Management Experiment in the Weibei Dry Highland (2013–2021)</dc:title>

<dc:description>The Weibei Dry Highland is a typical core area of rain-fed agriculture in China. Long-term and continuous monitoring of N₂O emissions and soil O₂ concentration induced by nitrogen fertilizer application in farmlands of this region helps to reveal the underlying effects of nitrogen fertilization on ecosystem material cycling, and provides fundamental data support for understanding the impacts of different nitrogen management practices on farmland ecosystems. This dataset originates from a long-term nitrogen fertilizer management experiment initiated in 2010, which includes five treatments: no nitrogen application (CK), conventional nitrogen application (CON), optimized reduced nitrogen application (OPT), optimized nitrogen application combined with nitrification inhibitor (OPT + DCD), and sole slow-release nitrogen fertilizer application (OPT + SR). The dataset mainly contains monitoring data of farmland N₂O emission fluxes and O₂ concentrations at the 10 cm soil layer for the five treatments, covering the period from 2013 to 2021. The data were surveyed, recorded, entered, verified, preserved and audited by different personnel at different times following unified management protocols. Two data tables, the N₂O Flux Table and the 10 cm Soil O₂ Concentration Table, were compiled with a total of 255 records, though relevant observational data from 2016 to 2018 are missing. This dataset can provide data resources for exploring the evolution and differences of soil N₂O emissions under continuous application of diverse nitrogen management practices in farmlands of the Weibei Dry Highland, and offer precise data support for nitrogen fertilizer application and high-yield farmland management in this region.</dc:description>
