<dc:title>The Antecedent Mechanism of Cyber-ostracism: Qualitative Analysis Using NVivo Software</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.j00052.00088</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>To explore the antecedent mechanism of cyber-ostracism, the present study conducted a qualitative analysis using NVivo software, on the basis of grounded theory. The analysis encompassed research papers, in-depth interviews, and social media posts. The results showed that cyber-ostracism is influenced by &amp;ldquo;personality traits,&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;cognition,&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;emotion,&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;social relationships,&amp;rdquo; and &amp;ldquo;network environment.&amp;rdquo; Notably, &amp;ldquo;cognition of others&amp;rsquo; evaluation&amp;rdquo; within &amp;ldquo;cognition&amp;rdquo; emerged as the most significant impacting factor. The present study not only provides new theoretical and empirical evidence for understanding the phenomenon of cyber-ostracism but also offer valuable guidance for educational institutions and intervention practices.</dc:description>
