<dc:description>This dataset is derived from experimental research on monolithic Ni–Co/Mg(Al)O catalysts for the dry reforming of methane (DRM), and mainly includes raw data and processing results of catalyst structural characterization, textural properties, surface chemical states, mechanical properties and catalytic performance testing. The dataset is obtained through the procedures of catalyst preparation, characterization testing, reaction evaluation and post-processing analysis. First, different monolithic catalyst samples are prepared via the dip-coating method, and then various instruments and equipment are used to systematically characterize their structural characteristics, surface properties and reaction performance. For data processing, Origin software is mainly used for peak fitting, data statistics and graph plotting; baseline correction, background subtraction and integration processing for some spectral data are completed in combination with the built-in software of the corresponding instruments. The structural characterization data in this dataset mainly include test results obtained from XRD, N₂ adsorption-desorption, SEM/EDS, H₂-TPR, XPS, TG and Raman, among others. Specifically, XRD data are collected with a Bruker D8 Advance X-ray diffractometer, with a scanning range of 2θ = 10–90°; N₂ adsorption-desorption data are acquired by a Micromeritics ASAP2020 automatic physical adsorption analyzer, the specific surface area is calculated via the BET method, and the pore size distribution is analyzed using the BJH model; SEM images and elemental distribution data are obtained by a JSM-7001F field emission scanning electron microscope equipped with an attached energy dispersive spectrometer; H₂-TPR tests are performed on a TP-5067 chemisorption analyzer; XPS data are collected with an AXIS SUPRA X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, and binding energy correction is performed using the C 1s peak; TG data are measured with a NETZSCH STA-409 thermal analyzer; Raman spectra are acquired on a Horiba Scientific LabRam HR Raman spectrometer. Catalytic performance tests are conducted in an atmospheric pressure fixed-bed reactor, and parameters including CH₄ conversion, CO₂ conversion and H₂/CO ratio are recorded. The test data in the dataset are mainly stored in the forms of tables, spectra and images. Tabular data record information including catalyst textural parameters (specific surface area, pore volume, average pore size), mechanical properties (compressive strength, coating weight loss rate), and reaction performance (CH₄ conversion, CO₂ conversion, H₂/CO ratio). Row labels in the tables generally correspond to different catalyst sample names (e.g., m-NCM-HEC, m-NCM-Si-sol, m-NCM-Al-sol, etc.), while column labels correspond to test parameters and their units, where the unit of specific surface area is m²·g⁻¹, pore volume is cm³·g⁻¹, pore size is nm, conversion rate is %, and compressive strength is MPa. The experimental dataset contains approximately hundreds of test records, along with multiple sets of spectra and micrographs. This dataset does not involve specific geospatial information; temporal information mainly corresponds to experimental test time and continuous reaction time, where the temporal resolution of catalytic performance testing is on the hour level, and the temporal resolution of partial ultrasonic adhesion test data is 5 minutes. There is no data missing caused by artificial deletion, and individual outliers are verified via repeated experiments. All key experimental data are obtained from at least three parallel experiments, and the average value is adopted as the final result to improve data reliability. Errors in the experimental process mainly originate from sample weighing, instrument measurement accuracy, fluctuations in the experimental environment, and local inhomogeneity during catalyst preparation. Repeated experiments show that the relative error of test results such as compressive strength and coating weight loss rate is generally less than 5%. Data files mainly include Excel spreadsheet files (.xlsx), image files (.tif, .jpg) and raw instrument data files, among others. Among them, Excel files are used to store sorted experimental data, and image files are used to store SEM images, XRD spectra, catalytic performance curves and other contents. All data files can be read and analyzed using common office software (Microsoft Excel) and data processing software (Origin), and no special software is required. This basically meets the requirements for dataset submission regarding data source, processing method, equipment information, data structure, error source and file description.</dc:description>
