<dc:title>Dataset of seasonal changes in 3D space use and foraging strategies in the avivorous bat Ia io</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset was collected to investigate seasonal changes in activity patterns, foraging strategies, and three-dimensional space use of the avivorous bat Ia io between summer and autumn. The study was conducted in a karst mountainous region in Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, southwestern China, focusing on adult male I. io from the Feilong Cave population. A total of 14 bats were tracked, with seven individuals sampled in summer and seven in autumn. GPS loggers equipped with three-axis accelerometers were used to simultaneously collect spatial location and activity data. GPS and accelerometer measurements were synchronized at 10-min intervals, with the accelerometer operating at 50 Hz. The dataset supports analyses of two- and three-dimensional space use, activity intensity, activity duration, and nocturnal activity patterns. These data provide a basis for investigating seasonal behavioral adjustments and spatial ecological strategies of I. io in response to seasonal changes in food resources.</dc:description>
