<dc:description>Total genomic DNA was extracted using CTAB method. Library construction was performed at the Center for Molecular Biology in Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and sequencing was conducted on the Illumina HiSeq 2000/2500, generating 3 Gb of data. The data files consist of raw chloroplast genome data. The obtained chloroplast genomic data were used to construct phylogenetic trees. Combined with genome size data, these data were applied to investigate whether genome size variation in plants from Yulong Snow Mountain is shaped by phylogenetic constraints. Furthermore, under the phylogenetic framework, we analyzed the relationships between genome size, plant traits and environmental factors.</dc:description>
