<dc:title>Simulation data for Cislunar Space VLBI Arrays for Improved uv Coverage and Angular Resolution</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Cislunar Space VLBI Arrays for Improved uv Coverage and Angular Resolution" by Jia Yu, Lei Liu, Juan Zhang and Weimin Zheng. It contains four FITS-IDI files of synthetic interferometric visibilities for evaluating uv coverage and imaging performance at 230 GHz. The study uses an M87 crescent model, eht-imaging for model generation, OmniUV for visibility simulation, and CASA for image reconstruction. It compares a seven-station Earth-based EHT array, an array extended by one lunar far-side station, and a multiple-space-station array. These are numerical simulations, not observations by existing 230 GHz space telescopes. The files are EARTH.FITS (7,318 visibility records; seven stations), EARTH0.2.FITS, ONLYLUNAR0.2.FITS, and LUNAR0.2.FITS. Their station inventories are consistent with the ground benchmark and configurations I, II and III, respectively. The manuscript scales the crescent angular dimensions to one-fifth for the configuration comparison; this is consistent with the 0.2 filename suffix, although the model scale is not explicitly stored in these FITS headers. Each file contains ARRAY_GEOMETRY, SOURCE, ANTENNA, FREQUENCY and UV_DATA binary-table extensions. UV_DATA includes baseline coordinates in seconds, Julian-date timestamps, baseline identifiers, a recorded integration time of 2 s, weights, and real and imaginary visibility components. The combined internal timestamp range is 11 March to 7 April 2020 (UTC).</dc:description>
