<dc:title>Moments of inertia of triaxial nuclei in covariant density functional theory</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.j00186.00241</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The covariant density functional theory (CDFT) and five-dimensional&amp;nbsp;collective Hamiltonian (5DCH) are used to analyze the experimental&amp;nbsp;deformation parameters and moments of inertia (MoIs) of 12 triaxial&amp;nbsp;nuclei extracted by Allmond and Wood [J. M. Allmond and J. L. Wood,&amp;nbsp;\href{https://doi.org/10.1016/j.physletb.2017.01.072}{Phys. Lett. B \textbf{767},&amp;nbsp;226 (2017)}]. It is found that the CDFT MoIs are generally smaller than experimental values but show qualitative consistency with irrotational&amp;nbsp;flow and experimental data for the relative MoIs, supporting that the&amp;nbsp;intermediate axis has the largest MoI. It is further&amp;nbsp;found that the collapse of pairing interaction can lead to the nuclei&amp;nbsp;behave like a rigid-body flow as exhibited in the cases&amp;nbsp;of \ce{^{186-192}Os}}. In addition, by incorporating enhanced&amp;nbsp;CDFT MoIs (a factor of $f\approx 1.55$) into 5DCH,&amp;nbsp;the experimental low-lying energy spectra and deformation parameters&amp;nbsp;are reproduced successfully. When contrasted with both the CDFT and&amp;nbsp;the triaxial rotor model (TRM), the 5DCH demonstrates superior&amp;nbsp;agreement with experimental deformation parameters and low-lying&amp;nbsp;energy spectra, respectively. This emphasizes the&amp;nbsp;importance of accounting for the shape fluctuations.</dc:description>
