<dc:title>TGS measurement scanning dataset with array detectors based on Geant4</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.j00186.00737</dc:identifier>

<dc:description>This dataset consists of transmission and emission reconstruction data for tomographic gamma scanning (TGS). The transmission data were simulated using Geant4 with an array detector configuration, while the emission data were obtained from real TGS measurements with radioactive sources placed inside the scanned drum. For the simulated transmission measurements, monoenergetic gamma-ray sources are used at multiple energy levels, including 0.122 MeV, 0.344 MeV, 0.799 MeV, 0.964 MeV, 1.112 MeV, and 1.408 MeV. Gamma rays pass through objects with varying densities and compositions, and the transmitted intensities are recorded by an array of detectors. The transmission scanning process involves single-axis rotation over 360 degrees, with each projection angle corresponding to the transmission response from multiple detector channels. Each CSV file in the train_data directory represents the ART-reconstructed result of a simulated transmission experiment, with filenames indicating the gamma energy used. Files in the target_data directory contain the reference attenuation coefficient distributions of the target object. The dataset also includes real emission reconstruction data stored in the emission_data directory. These data were acquired by placing radioactive sources inside the scanned drum and recording the emitted gamma photons with the detector array during rotational scanning. The measured emission responses are affected by source distribution, detector geometry, photon attenuation, and counting statistics.</dc:description>
