<dc:description>This dataset provides supporting data for the paper entitled “A Nonlinear Preconditioning Transformation-Based Method for Gamma Spectrum Inversion”. It systematically documents the performance of a novel gamma spectrum deconvolution algorithm based on nonlinear preconditioning transformation under both simulated and measured spectral conditions. The dataset consists of two main parts:Peak position and activity inversion results – Quantitative analysis accuracy is compared among the proposed method, the Gold algorithm, and the ML‑EM algorithm, using simulated spectra with different peak separations (in units of FWHM) and measured spectra from a mixed radionuclide source (²⁴¹Am, ¹³⁷Cs, ⁶⁰Co, and ¹³³Ba).Convergence data – The root‑mean‑square error (RMSE) and runtime evolution of the algorithms are recorded over iteration numbers ranging from 100 to 1,000,000.This dataset can serve as a benchmark for gamma spectrum deconvolution algorithms, facilitating the validation of algorithmic effectiveness and computational efficiency.</dc:description>
