<dc:description>This dataset contains the numerical source data underlying the figures of thearticle "How to Correctly Calculate the Dose Rate, or the FundamentalLimitations of Integral Dosimeters" (submitted to Nuclear Science andTechniques). The article analyses the fundamental limitations of integraldosimetry and presents the SDMF-1608SN digital spectrometer-dosimeter (organicscintillator, 500 MHz 14-bit ADC, digital pulse-shape discrimination), whichmeasures neutron and gamma-ray energy spectra directly and calculates doserates via standardised fluence-to-dose conversion coefficients. The dataset includes: (1) the illustrative sensitivity functions of asemiconductor gamma spectrometer and of a neutron radiometer (Figs. 1, 2);(2) the results of the June 2021 verification campaign in the monoenergeticneutron reference fields (24 keV - 19 MeV) of the PTB accelerator facilityPIAF: the measured versus reference neutron fluence rates (Fig. 4) and thereconstructed neutron energy spectra for ten reference fields (Fig. 5);(3) measured application spectra (Figs. 6-12): neutron and gamma-ray spectrabehind reactor shielding, the gamma-ray spectrum of a 226Ra-Be source, theneutron spectrum of a 239Pu-Be source, and neutron spectra from theD(d,n)3He, T(d,n)4He and 7Li(d,n)8Be reactions. Data are provided as CSVfiles (energy; fluence-rate density or sensitivity per file). Figure 3 of thearticle is a software screenshot of a pulse-shape identification diagram andhas no numerical source data. Details, units and uncertainties are documentedper file in the accompanying descriptions.</dc:description>
