<dc:title>The data of the article “Cross sections for the production of medically important radioisotopes via the p+232Th reaction in the energy range of 40–80 MeV”</dc:title>

<dc:description>In this work, the production cross sections for key medical isotopes from the p+232Th reaction were systematically measured. Irradiation experiments were performed on high-purity thorium oxide targets, fabricated via a high-temperature sintering process to overcome brittleness, using 40-80 MeV protons at the Associated Proton-beam Experiment Platform（APEP）of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). The activation method combined with off-line γ-ray spectroscopy using a calibrated HPGe detector was employed. This dataset is based on formulas (3) and (4) in the paper, with experimentally measured values as input, and is calculated using the kernel data processing software ROOT. The data covers the reaction cross-sections of some important radioactive medical isotopes generated by p+232Th nuclear reactions within the 40-80 MeV energy range. There are multiple table files here, each of which lists the measured energy points and their corresponding uncertainties for this experiment separately (this uncertainty comes from the broadening of proton energy in the beam); And provide the center values and uncertainties of the corresponding nuclide generation cross-sections at each energy point, which are composed of statistical errors and systematic errors. The systematic errors comprehensively consider the contributions of factors such as gamma peak area fitting, monitoring film standard cross-section, detector efficiency scale, and target material thickness. For ease of use, the energy unit is unified in megaelectronvolts (MeV) and the cross-sectional unit is unified in millibars (mb). At the same time, each table also lists the theoretical data and other experimental data referenced in this article for readers to compare. </dc:description>
