<dc:description>This dataset is derived from the article "Research on Large Dynamic Range Particle Identification Technology in Prompt Fission Neutron Spectrum Measurement." The dataset comprises six core figures (Figures 3 to 8), which comprehensively illustrate the complete workflow from energy calibration and signal discrimination to method validation.Figure 3 presents the energy calibration of the liquid scintillator detector based on the Compton edges of the first two gamma rays from 137Cs and 207Bi. The calibration results for high gain and low gain are represented in black and red, respectively, and the image is generated using Origin.Figure 4 is a two-dimensional correlation plot of the pulse shape discrimination (PSD) factor versus the equivalent electron energy, created using ROOT. It is based on unsaturated signals under high gain (a) and low gain (b).Figure 5, generated with Origin, shows the variation of the figure of merit (FOM) with equivalent electron energy under high gain (red) and low gain (black).Figure 6 is a two-dimensional correlation plot of the PSD factor versus equivalent electron energy, created using ROOT, based on all signals from the high-gain channel.Figure 7, produced with Origin, illustrates the variation of the FOM of the Qtail for saturated high-gain signals with the time over threshold (TOT) under different delay times.Figure 8, generated with ROOT, maps the gamma and neutron signals identified via low-gain PSD onto high-gain saturated signals, presenting a two-dimensional correlation plot of ToT versus Qtail. This effectively distinguishes gamma and neutron signals, thereby validating the method's effectiveness.</dc:description>
