<dc:subject>Objective: To explore the medicinal patterns of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in treating Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) through data analysis and network pharmacology research. Methods: Medical cases were retrieved and selected from CNKI and the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform. A Chinese herbal prescription database was established. The medicinal patterns were summarized through the analysis of drug frequency; properties; meridian tropism; drug category frequency; association rules; and systematic clustering analysis. Network pharmacology was used to investigate the mechanisms of action of the core herb pair with the highest gain. Results: A total of 91 eligible prescriptions were included; involving 193 herbs classified into 16 categories. The top five herb categories were tonic herbs; wind-damp dispelling herbs; heat-clearing herbs; blood-activating and stasis-resolving herbs; and exterior-relieving herbs. Twenty-two herbs appeared 20 or more times; with the top ten being Achyranthes bidentata; Cibotium barometz; Cinnamomum cassia; Eucommia ulmoides; Paeonia lactiflora; Angelica sinensis; Glycyrrhiza uralensis; Dipsacus asper; Angelica pubescens; and Taxillus chinensis. The primary properties were sweet; warm; and cold; and most herbs acted on the liver; spleen; and kidney meridians. Sixteen association rules and seven clustering combinations were identified. The core herb pair "Drynariae Rhizoma-Dipsacus Asper-Wyethia Radix-Eucommia Ulmoides" was analyzed using network pharmacology; revealing 10 drug targets; enriched in 27 molecular components; 42 molecular functions; and 817 biological processes; involving 80 signaling pathways. Conclusion: TCM treatment for AS primarily focuses on the theory of liver; spleen; and kidney deficiency with cold syndromes and is closely related to the Governing Vessel. Herbs chosen often have sweet flavor and warm or cold properties; with effects that include tonifying deficiency and dispelling wind-dampness. The core herbs exert their effects through multiple components; targets; and pathways; providing theoretical guidance for clinical prescription formulation in the prevention of osteoporosis; immune regulation; and pain relief</dc:subject>
