<dc:title>Regulatory Mechanisms of Neuro-immune Interaction in the Skin-Brain Axis on Acupuncture Intervention in the Itch Circuitry of Psychodermatological Disorders</dc:title>

<dc:description>Psychosomatic dermatological disorders are characterized by chronic pruritus, recurrent skin lesions, and emotional disturbances. The vicious cycle of "itch-scratch-emotion" severely impairs patients' health. Its pathological essence lies in the neuro-immune homeostatic imbalance and central network dysfunction regulated by the "skin-brain axis". Current mechanistic studies predominantly focus on downstream chemical sensory pathways, often overlooking the critical role of mechanical itch sensitization driven by tissue biomechanical remodeling. Acupuncture, a classic exogenous mechanical neuromodulation technique, not only induces the desensitization of peripheral mechanosensitive ion channels to block inflammatory cascades but also "bottom-up" reshapes the central itch-emotion brain network and autonomic nervous function, systematically restoring skin microenvironment homeostasis. Based on the skin-brain axis theory, this review systematically elucidates the regulatory mechanisms of the itch circuitry in acupuncture intervention for these disorders. It aims to break through the limitations of traditional single-target research, provide a multidimensional "mechanosensory-chemical-biological" coupling perspective, and offer a theoretical basis for constructing a whole-chain research paradigm for modern acupuncture mechanisms.</dc:description>
