<dc:title>Bibliometric and BERTopic Analysis of Cutting-Edge Research Trends on Megakaryocytes in Immune Thrombocytopenia</dc:title>

<dc:description>Objective To investigate the research trends and cutting-edge topics regarding megakaryocytes in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).Methods Relevant literature on megakaryocytes in ITP from 2003 to 2025 was retrieved from Web of Science and Scopus databases, and visualized using Citespace, VOSviewer, and BERTopic topic modeling. Results A total of 553 articles were identified, with the United States producing the highest number of publications. Hou Ming was the most prolific author, while Cornell University and Blood were the most productive institutions and journals. Conclusion In recent years, mechanistic studies focusing on immune microenvironment dysregulation, platelet de-sialylation, long-chain non-coding RNAs, and emerging multi-target therapeutic approaches have become prominent research directions. Future efforts should emphasize further investigation into the specific mechanisms underlying secondary, recurrent, and refractory ITP, as well as the establishment of unified clinical diagnostic and treatment standards, ultimately aiming to achieve personalized therapy guided by biomarkers.</dc:description>
